Believe it or not, there's actually an awareness month for disability insurance. This would strike us as faintly ridiculous if we didn't know so much about it, and about how under-insured most people are for a disability. We'll be putting bits of info here on the blog for the rest of the month (not to scare you, but because it's important!). For example, during your working years, you are much likelier to have a period of disability than you are to die. Just, you know, from an actuarial perspective. So if you have life insurance but not disability, you might want to consider adding the latter--especially since it's not very expensive. (Our coverage starts at less than $6/month.)
