Hey there! Interested in writing for the Freelancers Union blog?
Due to popular demand, our blog is open to the community – in addition to our staff and freelance writers.
As you know, Freelancers Union is a non-profit supported by the collective efforts of its community. Unlike traditional content purveyors, our blog is here for one reason only: to help freelancers help themselves.
Want to share your expertise, story or advice?
We're always looking for:
- "Evergreen" content focusing on practical advice for freelancers
- Opinion pieces on current events related to freelancing – your voice matters!
- Personal stories about your freelance career, why it's unique, and how your experiences can help others
- Creativity hacks and inspiration for artists
- Health & wellness practices
- Sustainable living
All authors own their own content – which means you’re welcome to publish your piece elsewhere.
We may not be able to publish all posts, but if published, your post will include a byline, author photo, and bio. We often include posts in our weekly newsletter that reaches an audience of almost 200k freelancers.
Non-writers welcome! We seek perspectives from all industries. If you're worried your writing might not be up to snuff, we're more than happy to help edit and shape your story to share with the community.
We're grateful that so many of our members wish to give back to the freelance community by sharing advice, stories and perspective here on the blog. We want to make this a place where the freelance voice is loud and proud.
Thank you for making the Freelancers Union community better with your contributions of wit, whimsy, advice and expertise.
