We're hiring a Program Manager for SPARK!

Job Description

Freelancers Union is the largest and fastest growing organization for independent workers, representing 425,000 members across the country. We support freelancers with advocacy, education, and access to health insurance and other needed benefits.

Freelancers Union SPARK is our flagship education program for freelancers. Led by 70 talented freelance leaders, SPARK offers monthly workshops and networking events in over 25 cities across the country. At SPARK, Freelancers come together to build freelancing skills and connect with a supportive community of members.

We're looking for a Program Manager to help us develop SPARK into an invaluable resource for freelancers nationwide by bringing the program to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Work 15 hours per week as a Program Manager, overseeing all aspects of Freelancers Union’s SPARK program (telecommuting is ok).

  • Lead the growth and development of SPARK, including launching in new cities and recruiting new member leaders.

  • Design and draft curriculum to teach entrepreneurship and self-advocacy fundamentals to independent workers.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across member leaders to achieve program goals and provide leadership development coaching as needed.

  • Develop and implement systems for tracking member engagement and managing relationships.

  • Analyze and iterate engagement strategies using key performance metrics, and make recommendations to improve performance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in professional development, entrepreneurship coaching, workforce development, educational programming, or related field.

  • Personable and engaging, with the ability to develop meaningful relationships and motivate individuals and groups.

  • Ability to work independently, build efficient and scalable processes, and analyze results to deliver on strategic goals.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.

  • Seasoned freelancer preferred; genuine commitment to empowering the freelance workforce required.
