Upwork’s Q2 2018 Skills Index is out this week and ranks the 20 fastest-growing skills for freelancers.

Freelancers with tech skills have plenty of reason to be happy with the report: programming and coding skills continue to rank high, and Blockchain is the #1 skill on the index for the second straight quarter.

Upwork also reports that elearning is on the rise, especially as freelancers navigate an increasingly evolving landscape: 70 percent of the fastest-growing skills are new to the index, and 55 percent of freelancers participated in skills-related education in the last six months.
