Our member of the week is Amhalise Morgan. Amhalise is a casting professional, working in the music video and commercial industries. Amhalise has worked with the biggest names in the music business, casting for music videos by Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, John Legend, and many others. 1. What has been your most interesting project?

Music video: Jayz's "99 problems" directed by Mark Romanek.

Commercial: United Nations PSA "stand up against poverty"--all real people, street casting.

2. Why did you decide to go freelance?

The body of work is always changing, from race to age range, from length on a project 3 days to a month, so every project is fresh even after 10 years.

3. What tip would you give to a new freelancer or someone who is considering going freelance?

Your reputation is your best advertising, do a great job and people always remember.

4. What is your favorite spot in the city in which you live?

Brooklyn! From Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches in Cobble Hill to Choice Market in Clinton Hill to Madiba in Fort Greene and what's better than going grocery shopping at Fairway in RedHook and taking a break in the outdoor patio to see Lady Liberty! Brooklyn is my favorite spot!

5. What is your inspiration?

My children and good film!
