The Future of Music Coalition has launched a program to help musicians pick an insurance plan. It's called HINT, for Health Insurance Navigation Tool. (We heard about it via Pitchfork Media.) You can make an appointment to have a phone conversation with a real person--an insurance expert who'll translate the often arcane and confusing details of health insurance coverage, so that you can make a good decision.

We think this is a great idea. In fact, it's so good that, if it works, there should be something similar available to people in a wider range of professions.
