Fave your five: Connect with fellow freelancers!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Fave Your Five Contest!

After a week of searching, Tanya Gold of Cambride, Massachussets is the official Freelancers Union member who gets to walk away with the booty (prize). For her effort of faving her five favorite freelancers, Tanya will receive an hour business-building session with wonderwoman creative career coach Michelle Ward!

We hope you all enjoyed using Profiles and continue to search for your own "Fave Five"!

---------------------------------------------------

A connected freelancer is a successful freelancer! So today, take two minutes to reach out and connect with someone new….Or five someones. And you could win a prize!

If you find and Fave five freelancers on the brand new Freelancers Directory before Sunday, June 15, you could win an hour business-building session with wonderwoman creative career coach Michelle Ward!

What’s Faving, you might ask? In our Freelancers Directory, you can build your own profile and put other freelancers’ profiles in your network by pressing “Add to Faves” on their profile. It’s a great way to say “hi” and start a conversation.

Here’s what you have to do:

1. Become a member of Freelancers Union or Login to your Freelancers Union profile

2. Visit the profile of a freelancer (by browsing or searching on our Directory)

3. Press “Add to Faves” on their profile

4. Repeat 2-3 five times!

Who should I Fave? Will people think I’m weird if I fave them randomly?

Short answer: no. Freelancers Union members join us because they want to meet other freelancers!

Who should I connect with?

Find freelancers in your area. Search for “Ann Arbor” in the Directory and see if there are any other freelancers in your city or state. “Fave” ‘em -- and you can even send them an email introducing yourself and asking if they know about any great resources or meet-ups for freelancers in your area.

Find freelancers in your field. Want to connect with other copywriters or accountants? Just search for your job title, see who comes up and “Fave” them. Learning about what other freelancers in your field are doing is always a good idea.
