Cool or corporate coworking?
Where do you do your work: home, a café, the park? Ever think about doing any of your work at a coworking space? A recent New York Post article, “Space odyssey: NYC coworking spots from cool to corporate” gives you the scoop on a variety of places to check out in the New York area. Freelancers Union also offers a member discount to a host of coworking spaces mentioned in the article: Greenspaces, In Good Company, Micro Office, New Work City, Select Office Suites, and Studio Guild, giving you even more incentive to try out this kind of workspace. I also want to give a special shout out to the Brooklyn Creative League (also mentioned, and also a discount partner!) for writing a memo of support for the Freelancer Payment Protection Act S4129/A6698 in New York. Looking for options in other cities? Loosecubes has you covered, by connecting people who have a great workspace to people who need it. Plus, we love them for providing coconut water and chips for Tuesday’s lobby day in Albany, NY, keeping members fresh and well-fueled to meet with legislators and garner more support for our Freelancer Payment Protection Act. Co-working, co-lobbying – it’s an increasingly “together” world! (photo by anshu_si, via Flickr)
