Now That's HIP! Movie Nights

As part of the River to River Festival in downtown Manhattan, HIP Health Plan will be sponsoring HIP Movie Nights throughout the month of August. The screenings are free, and will take place outdoors on the Elevated Acre at 55 Water Street.

Tonight’s feature presentation is Pickup on South Street, directed by Samuel Fuller. This New York-set classic features Richard Widmark as Skip McCoy, a pickpocket, who finds himself in possession of a microfilm containing state secrets. Suddenly, he's targeted by the Feds as they try to reclaim the stolen goods. Gates open at 6:30PM, and the feature presentation begins at dusk. Show up early to see two short films by New York director Jeff Scher - Trigger Happy SID.
