Worldwide Jellyweek is a global coworking celebration that’s taking place from January 16-22. Never heard of a Jelly? Think of it as a free introduction to the world of coworking. Jellies are casual, self-organized meetups where freelancers can come together to work, brainstorm, collaborate, or simply escape their home office for a fresh environment. While localized jellies have been happening since 2006, Worldwide Jellyweek will let separate, global groups communicate via Skype and social media to share ideas, exchange programs, and connect as one big, freelance family. Besides just being an all-around great idea, Jellyweek 2012 is the perfect excuse to give your local coworking spot a test run. Some of our favorite coworking spaces have signed up to be Jellyweek hosts on January 16, including 3rd Ward, Loosecubes, and coLab Evanston. Go get your Jelly on!
