Join our focus groups on the ups and downs of a freelance lifestyle (and receive $30)

How do you manage the ups and downs of earning income as a freelancer? When illness, lost clients and unexpected disruptions affect your work life, how do you cope?

Freelancers Union is collaborating with researchers from Columbia University School of Social Work and the Century Foundation to better understand the challenges freelancers face. We are holding two focus groups on economic instability and freelance work.

We’re currently recruiting participants in the New York City area to share their ideas and experiences along with fellow freelancers. We’d like experienced freelancers who get most of their income from freelancing and have had money worries over the past two years. Lunch or dinner will be served, and participants will receive a $30 gift card in recognition of their time.

Focus group sessions will be held on Monday, September 25th, 6:30-8:00pm, and Tuesday, September 26, 12:00pm-1:30pm in Downtown Manhattan.

Interested? RSVP here and you will be contacted by the research team. Questions? Email stettner@tcf.org
