Find Your “Spark” -- Announcing Our New, National Education and Networking Series

The one thing every successful freelancer knows is that you’re only as good as your network.

That’s why last fall we started a national event series pilot project (then called “After Hours”) to help connect freelancers in their own community -- and build the strong network freelancers need to thrive.

Hundreds of freelancers came to connect and build together. Dozens of freelance leaders emerged across the country. And, with their help and insight, we improved and focused the series.

Today, we’re relaunching the program in cities nationwide as “Freelancers Union Spark.”

Find a Spark in your city

What is a “Spark”?

It’s a monthly meeting in your local community where you can meet other freelancers to learn from each other, share strategies, get connected, and build a nationwide community of independent workers.

On one night every month, dozens of cities across the country will host a meeting about the same topic -- say, how to do your taxes, how to get paid on time, etc. We’ll also be connecting freelancers virtually around the same topic in our community forum, Hives. At the events and online, freelancers will share what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what new ways they can try to improve their freelance lives.
