Three Ways to Give Thanks as a Freelancer

turkey.jpgThanksgiving is on its way. With much of our country focused (understandably) on what’s going wrong, we’re looking forward to this chance to reflect on the things that are going right and expressing gratitude for what we have. What are you grateful for this year? A client that paid on time? A friend that connected you to a new gig? Not catching the office cold that goes around each fall? Share your gratitude with fellow freelancers this November by:

  • Thanking a great client by reviewing them in Client Scorecard – and letting them know!
  • Valuing your own worth: protect your time and business by using a contract for every job. Now you can sign in and generate one for free with our Contract Creator tool.
  • Sharing your story about a client, project, or experience you’ve appreciated in The Freelance Life, our collection of freelancer stories.
Then let us know what you’re most thankful for on Twitter (#freelancerthanksgiving) or our Facebook page – we’ll kick it off with our own list. One sweet story will receive a Freelancers Union “horn of plenty” – full of fun gifts. For inspiration, check out some other freelancers' Thanksgiving thoughts here, here, and here. As for us? We’re grateful to have you with us. - photo by makeupwoman2000, via flickr.
