Celebrating 15 Years of Research, Innovation, and Change

Our First Annual Benefit is just around the corner, taking place on December 9. We’re looking forward to celebrating all that Freelancers Union has accomplished in the last fifteen years and honoring a few key partners who’ve helped us build to this moment. We know that we wouldn’t be where we are today without the dedication, support, and hard work of our partners, members, funders, friends, and supporters. From a nascent idea that freelancers should have representation, that they could help themselves if they only were organized, that it was time for government to recognize the changes taking place in the workforce, and that they should have access to affordable, portable health insurance . . . we’ve come a long way! And with the support of our many partners, we’ll continue to write new rules for the emerging independent workforce. Proceeds from this event will benefit Working Today, the nonprofit research and education arm of Freelancers Union (Working Today is a 501(c)3 organization). Tickets for members to attend this cocktail reception and awards ceremony are still available at $100 (non-member tickets are $150 if purchased before December). We’re very grateful to those sponsoring this event and supporting the nation’s only initiative to explore the economics and policy needs of the independent workforce: Visionaries Empire BlueCross BlueShield; HealthPlan Services; Prudential Pioneer Health Design Plus Trailblazers Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP; Milliman, Inc.
