A (coworking) room of one's own

Another coworking space has jumped on board with the Freelancers Union discount program. That brings us to 9 places freelancers can go that won't smell like coffee or sound like screaming children (okay, I like the coffee smell). We're really pleased to be partnering with the Brooklyn Creative League, founded by Erin Carney and Neil Carlson. Time Out New York describes them thus:

Erin Carney and Neil Carlson elected to launch the Brooklyn Creative League to counteract their own at-home-freelancer woes. The BCL, located on the top floor of an old sweater factory in Gowanus, officially opens Wednesday [April] 15. Choose from a wide range of options—from a full-time private office at $1,500 a month to part-time work stations at $350 a month—for small-shop companies, writers, designers and nonprofits.

But I think the proof is in the pudding. Our members will receive $20 off per month for full-time workspace, $15 off per month for part-time workspace, and $250 off per month for conventional office rental. (Available to new BCL members only.)
