All the news outlets are writing/talking about economic stimulus packages, and you might feel inundated with information about the proposals. Has anyone out there tried to read the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009? If you’ve managed to get through even a few of the 647 pages of the Act, you’ve probably noticed that one significant segment of the workforce is being left out once again: independent workers. Our "member chatter" and forum pages have seen a lot of questions about unemployment lately, but there are few answers for our community. Freelancers: If Obama handed you a pen and let you scratch in just one change to this tome, would you opt for greater job creation, or some kind of unemployment relief system?
