This month, over at Best Practices, Clay Mabbitt blogged about leaving his home office for a separate space.  It's an interesting perspective on the question of whether to start renting an office, because the pros and cons Mabbitt lists go beyond the merely financial.  For instance, he says he's back to commuting in his car (albeit a short distance), but having a "real" office presents a better image to clients.
