1. What has been your most interesting project?

Rehabilitating and then strength coaching a major league baseball pitcher. First I got him healthy, then I got him strong. By the time our work was finished, he was throwing very well without pain. It was the first time that I was able to use all of my skills at once with one client.

2. Why did you decide to go freelance?

I worked for two chain gyms in Manhattan before I went independent. I went freelance because I have a fiercely independent nature, and because I believed that I could provide a higher quality of service in the personal training industry than those gyms could ever afford to pay me for.

3. What tip would you give to a new freelancer or someone who is considering going freelance?

Find people in your field who are doing the type of work you want to be doing, and learn from them whenever possible. Remember that growth stops when you stop learning. Never stop growing.

4. What is your favorite spot in the city in which you live?

My home. As many great places as there are in this metropolis, my heart is happiest the most often when I'm home with my fiancé, just enjoying our time together.

5. What is your inspiration?

I am inspired by the pursuit of, and struggle for, excellence.
