End-of-year tax wisdom

Freelancers are brimming with horror stories about tax troubles they’ve run into over the course of their independent careers. Experienced freelancers are also full of important tidbits they’ve picked up along the way – such as tricks for making sure to set aside enough from each check to cover the tax bill. As the 2006 tax year comes to a close, we wanted to invite members to share what they’ve learned – or what they need to learn – about taxes. Use the comments area to tell other members your story about the year you figured out what estimated taxes were after you worked on 1099’s all year, or share your confusion about understanding whether to incorporate.
